Turmeric milk with honey and figs

Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp ajwain seeds
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp honey
- 2-4 dried figs
RECIPE
- In a saucepan, dry roast ajwain seeds
- Add a cup of milk and turmeric.
- Add honey and bring to a boil.
- Add in the dried figs.
- Lower the heat and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
NOTES
Optional:
- For extra-tender figs, place them in a cup of milk for 10-15 minutes before adding them to the pan.
- Add black pepper to activate the turmeric. Combining these ingredients enhances health benefits because piperine in pepper increases curcumin absorption.
