Green Chutney Sandwich 



Tomato and cucumber sandwich with green chili paste

Ingredients


Green Chili Paste

  • 2-3 garlic cloves
  • 1 bunch of cilantro with the stems
  • 1 green chili pepper
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 10 peanuts (optional)
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Salt to taste

Sandwich

  • 2 tomatoes, thin, round slices
  • 2 cucumbers, thin, round slices
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 8 slices of bread of your choice
  • White or black pepper to taste (optional)

RECIPE

  1. Blend the green chili paste ingredients with very little water until a pasty consistency is reached.
  2. Toast the bread slices (optional).
  3. On one side of the bread, spread butter. On the other side, spread the green chlli paste.
  4. Layer the tomatoes and cucumbers on top of the chili paste, then sprinkle with pepper.
  5. Combine the slices and enjoy.

NOTES

Optional:

  1. Green chili paste can be saved in the fridge for a week or frozen. If frozen, will last for 1-2 months.
  2. Add in smashed avocado and/or cheese slices for extra nutrients.
