Butter Chicken


Chicken in butter sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken cut into small cubes
  • 1 cup heavy whipping sauce
  • 1 ½ small can tomato paste
  • 4 tbsp Shan Tandoori Masala
  • 6 cashew pieces
  • ½ Knorr chicken cube
  • 1 tbsp kasoori methi
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt to taste

RECIPE

  1. Place cashews in a bowl of water for an hour. Grind well to a smooth paste, strain, and set aside. Make sure no kernels are present, or you will taste them in the dish.
  2. Heat oil and butter in a pot.
  3. Pour in the tomato paste and cook until the tomato scent is gone. Spend time on this step.
  4. Add chicken, coat well, and keep stirring.
  5. Add tandoori masala, Knorr chicken cube, and 1 cup of water.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 40 minutes or until the chicken is tender.
  7. Add whipping cream and cashew mixture. Keep stirring.
  8. Microwave the kasoori methi for 1 minute, then crumble it finely by hand. Add to the pot and continue cooking for another 5 minutes.
  9. Turn off the heat and enjoy with roti or rice.
