Phool Gobi Ka Sag

Stir Fried Cauliflower

Ingredients

  • 1 cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 2 potatoes, cut into cubes
  • 1 tbs oil
  • 1 tomato, chopped fine
  • ½  tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin/coriander powder
  • Salt to taste

RECIPE

  1. Heat the oil in a saucepan and add the cauliflower florets and potatoes. Sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add in the potato. Mix well and cook for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add in turmeric, red chili, salt, and cumin/coriander powder. Keep stirring.
  4. Cover and cook on low until the potatoes are cooked and the cauliflower florets are tender but still slightly crisp. 
  5. Enjoy hot with roti. 

NOTES

Optional:

  1. Add 1/4 tsp lemon juice when the dish is cooked.
  2. To make the dish juicier, add 2 tomatoes.
  3. Garnish with cilantro.
